Best of 2019: Before & After

We’ve compiled a brief blog post showing some of our favorite projects from 2019, including before and after photos of our work. Perhaps this compilation will provide you with some landscaping inspiration for 2020. If it does, give E.A. Quinn a call!

Project 1: Natural stone front walkway with stairs and retaining wall

Before: This natural stone set of stairs had seen better days. The homeowners called the experts at E.A. Quinn for a whole new look to their front entrance.

After: The homeowners wanted to keep the look of natural stone. Our masons tore down the existing wall and steps. The wall was rebuilt with a combination of existing material as well as some new material and we recommended new granite steps be installed. The result is stunning.

Project 2: Multi-level natural stone retaining wall and stairs

Before: This client’s back yard was steep with the only usable flat space for their children to play in at the bottom of an embankment. The homeowner’s goal was to create a safe way to access the flat portion of their yard that would also allow for some landscaping to be installed.  This projected was complicated due to all the grade changes. The home owner had called several landscapers, but E.A. Quinn was the only company that provided a well thought out design plan that met their goals.

After: The result is a series of stunning natural stone retaining walls that are tiered and steps that turned an eyesore into a usable backyard. In 2020 we will be installing the plantings!

Project 3: Inground pool patio with hot tub and fire pit

Before: This backyard was pretty much a blank canvas. The homeowners knew they wanted an “outdoor oasis” that would allow them to entertain friends and family throughout the year.

After: They wanted plenty of area for lounge chairs that took advantage of the sunlight, but they also wanted a sitting area in the shade as well. In addition to the pool patio, we also recommended that they incorporate a fire pit (propane) area with a sitting wall that we placed next to the walkway from the home to the pool. The inground gunite pool was designed and installed by Aqua Pool of East Windsor, CT.
