Residential Design Build
The E.A. Quinn team often receives inquiries about pool renovations. Some clients have purchased a home with an older pool in disrepair while others have a pool that simply needs a refresh. Repairing and upgrading the aesthetic of an existing pool is a great way to reignite your outdoor space.
Pool Renovations
The first step to renovating a pool is to consult with one of our strategic pool partners to determine what types of repairs are needed. Then, our design team will come out, assess your backyard setup, take measurements, and learn about what you would like to do. Once our designer understands your wants and needs, they will create a 3-D rendering that includes the updated look and any additional features.
Pool Renovations
Before you embark on a total renovation, consider what is needed. Points of concern may include whether the pool is structurally sound, the age of equipment, or simply the aesthetic appeal of the pool. With a Gunite swimming pool, it may be time to resurface or install new tile. If you have a liner pool, you may need to replace the liner and coping.
It’s also important to make safety upgrades. Some options for improving safety include installing a fence to the perimeter of your property, adding non-slip surface materials to the area surrounding the pool, and upgrading lighting for better visibility during later hours of the day.
Finally, if you are upgrading the pool, why not consider updating your pool patio and adding a new feature such as a kitchen, fireplace, or firepit? Adding a kitchen to your outdoor space allows you to enjoy guests while hosting. Nothing brings people together like food and cocktails. A fire feature offers a place to relax, unwind, make memories, and have good conversation.
