Snow & Ice Management
E.A. Quinn has developed a solid and seamless plan for snow and ice removal to ensure every detail is covered. At the forefront is limiting the liability our clients face and keeping their property clear and their employees safe. Our strategy includes pre-storm prep, communication before, during and after the storm, as well as post-storm operations.

SNOW & ICE MANAGEMENT
SAFETY/LIABILITY
Safety tops our list of priorities in every facet of our business. During a storm, we understand that clients and their employees need to feel safe on the property. First, it’s important to have a solid contract with a proper scope and corresponding language. Adding signage to properties indicating icy or slippery conditions are possible help make it clear that people need to be careful while walking when entering your property. This can help mitigate fraudulent slip and fall claims. During the storm, we use GPS tracking so there is an extensive log of when our crews were there and how long it took them to clear the property. These are ways we keep people safe and limit your exposure.
EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE
Without proper maintenance and updates to snow removal equipment, there is a greater chance of breakdowns during a storm, leading to delays in clearing properties. E. A. Quinn continually performs preventative maintenance on existing equipment as well as updates to our equipment on a regular basis. This cuts down on untimely breakdowns and ensures we are continually working on your property.
COMMUNICATION
To ensure that you are up to date on what’s happening with your property, E.A. Quinn has created a clear line of communication between our team and your property representative. We do an initial email blast 24 hours prior to a storm beginning with the expected forecast. Twelve hours before the storm, we send out a 2nd email highlighting the entire plan, including start times for clearing properties, updated weather information, and when it’s expected to start and end. For larger or extended storms, we put together a plan for frequent updates throughout so you know where we are at in our process and when we anticipate finishing operations.

BLIZZARD COVERAGE
Blizzards can create an entirely new set of obstacles for our snow and ice-clearing crews. That’s why we enlist additional resources during a blizzard (both manpower and equipment). Extra crews help us keep properties clear and avoid employee burnout. Additional equipment (usually skid steers and loaders) allows for a fast clean-up process.
POST-STORM OPS
In the days following the storm, it's can be necessary to bring in loaders to move or relocate snow piles. This widens roadways, eliminates sightline issues, and allows clients to use 100% of their property.
WHEN QUALITY MATTERS
Without our commitment to safety, communication, attention to detail, and adherence to a timeline during a storm, we would not be able to offer this level of service to our commercial clients. When Quality Matters, E.A. Quinn is your choice.
